    CNC beginner

Hi, I bought a komo cnc router 4 axis, 3 spindles, (1997) with a 15-M9A GE fanuc control. I clear most of the alarms but still have one that says operator message 08888 N00000. The machine has a program in the memory of how i can make it run just for a demo, to make sure everything is working. I tried to communicate through my Rs232 but when i set the machine to receive, it says alarm message SR0820 DR OFF(1), SW000 parameter enable switch on. Can I use any software from my pc to communicate to the machine?
Do I need any kind of driver to do this? I really appreciate if somebody can help me. Thank you.

    Hi,

I have the same controller in my swiss. Alarm message says: You have to disable parameters enabling. To load the programs to the controller I use PDA connect (I have Palm handheld to do that). To reload everything from Palm I use HotSync. Parameters for PDA Connect (9600,7,E,2,n).
