    SCM tech Z25 plus code

    Hi everyone!

I think i'm in the right place to get some help

Anyway, i'm currently programing an electric guitar body and neck, to machine it on a SCM tech Z25 plus.

The sales rep told me that the +Z coordinates are INTO the wood.

    Is this true?

I mean, do i need to set up my CAM (Catia) references in order to have the Z axis pointing into the wood, so that my post can have the right XYZ coordinates?

I guess so, or else the machine won't cut anything right?

If somedy could give me a hand, it would be very appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

You could always do a find and replace in Notepad or Word and replace Z- with Z. Our Masterwood is the same way, and I've done that on occasion when doing simple 3D stuff.
