Automatic Tables: are they worth it?

I'm currently considering buying a CNC machine for making windows, doors and stairs etc.. I have no experience with CNC machines and have been told ATs (autotable) save a lot of time in setting up the arms and clamps. As ATs are a relatively new feature on CNC machines I'm concerned about their reliability and maintenance. They are a very expensive option and without them having a long proven track record I'm left wondering if the less expensive manual bed is the way to go. Does anyone have an opinion on ATs?
