Newbie Biesse 321 help

Streams of life got me on the cnc shores and now ive got a lot of learning to do. I started to work in woodworking factory(producing furniture) and soon we are getting Biesse Rover 321. I have knowledge of computers and autocad but only starting to learn gcode. At first we will use Rover just for drilling so im interested is there a way to use that particular machine without much coding, at least till i learn gcode (which is not that complicated, just time consuming)? Maybe with autocad or some CAM program?Biesseworks in (i think) not supported on that machine
And does anyone have a downloadable manual or enything connected to machine. Biesse USA is not helpfull. And also good gcode tutorials are wellcome
tnx

the rover 321 can have a few different controllers. mine has 481 controller.
drilling is very easy to program at the machine.
if it has the 480 or 481 controller you need special software to write floppy disks from any cam software which i can sell you.
although it is quite easy to program at the machine too if you learn a bit of geometry and parametrics. i can help with some stuff!
the 480 and 481 controllers do have a fair few quirks which you will come accross but the machine is capable of great things and pretty good accuracy.
i suggest you buy the printed manuals and fault codes listings or you wont get anywhere fast. biesse uk are very helpfull albe it a bit slow obtaining this sort of thing from italy.

Tnx for reply, machine has not arrive yet so i still don know about software or manuals that will hopefully come with it. I know about Biesse 321R, machine that will come is newer , without "R" (so they say).I know about your program , ill contact you when ill know more after machine arrives.
So, drilling can be programmed on the machine? Can you describe interface for programming? How do you program? What about saw and routers, they are programmed in the same interface? For routing, im testing now Gerrys autocad plugin and with some manual editing i think that will work. tnx

I am not much experienced but i can give you few tips.

If you need softwere only for driling then you might look at Corpus (www.corpus.hr) since you are from Croatia. Software provides supports for Biesse machines over .xnc and .bpp(Bieseworks macros). Since your machine does not have Biesseworks support, i guess it can read code from xnc file generated from Corpus.
I am not sure how good it work on your rover, but it is possible.
In this way you will avoid coding.

Other option is to invest in BiesseWorks if your machine can support it. It is great CAM software and it also can be connected with Corpus in some way.

tnx for reply
Good news is that we didnt get Rover 321 but Rover 23, newer and better version with xnc 500 controller. Programming is easy, suports Biesseworks and so on but we have now another problem with suction pads , but ill open another thread for that. Ill look into Corpus.tnx

thanks for the offer but i have all that.
i have just moved the machine to my house after closing up factory. darn uk recession!
had to install a big 3 phase generator here to run everything!

didnt know if it was slightly off phase etc.

turns out it was because i had halted plc before moving i think! fault seems to have gone now but still dont know exactly what it was.

any idea what the stepper motor on the transformer does? never noticed it before this weekend

now its working again and i have copied all routines etc from plc and fixed cycles etc i can get on with my conversion to new controller. should be fun!
