| Hi Ray, It looks like a lot of machine! At least the mechanical aspects sound good. I'd have to wonder about a 1972 vintage cnc, though. Heck, I can remember 1972 like yesterday, when a 4 function calculator was the only PC around It would be nice to find out how a modern PC interfaces with it, what kind of software it runs on, etc. Might make a good retrofit candidate, though.

| Looks like a nice machine, The vacuum table alone is worth big bucks! That is an old Allen-Bradley control, They never did manage to break into the CNC control market, in spite of trying. It looks like the Z axis is just point to point positioning and it looks like the PC is just for program download. As Hu said it looks like a good retro-fit candidate and put a Z axis servo on it and a VFD on the spindle. Al
