A friend of mine has 2 old Hurcos, a KM-1 and a KMB-1. He needs something with the power of the KM-1 (Bridgeport variable head) and the features of the KMB-1 including helical milling for heavy threads in steel castings. I'm most familiar with the Hurcos and Haas machines although I did have a couple YCI(M?)/Acroloc machines. It needs to be cheap, easy to program and with a fairly small footprint like the Hurcos. Ideas/opinions? TIA JohnF |
