We are located in Shandong province in China. We have a need for a CNC router to manufacture small components from light materials - typically 1/4" ply or plastic sheet of similar thickness.
We are looking at a machine made and serviced locally:
We are new to this game, but have learned that we should be considering servo motors/steppers, ball screws/acme screws, rigid frame/table top.
It appears that this machine uses stepper motors and ball screw technology on a semi-rigid frame. It offers, as an accessory, a 'lathe' module that will allow us to engrave or emboss on round stock.
The software is multi-lingual, and supports AutoCAD and CorelDraw.
Any comments on this machine specifically, or on other issues we should be considering in our purchase would be very much appreciated.
There are a huge number of companies in this market in China - but the advantage of having the manufacturer close by to deal with maintenance issues is significant to us.
Thanks for your feedback
