Bridgeport VMC 1000 XP3

Hi
I was just wondering if anybody used this type of the machine with Heidenhain control, 15000 RPM.
I think I can get it for 105 000 US, brand new.
Any suggestions, I am in Ontario, Canada.
Thanks

I purchased a Bridgeport 760 XP3 last June. Fanuc 18i control with Ai-Nano processor, 12,000 rpm spindle. Great machine, been running it daily at 10-12k rpm on compex 3D shapes in aluminum. I also use it for machining of c1018 steel and also A2 tool steel. Only thing I sort of dislike is the chip conveyor/coolant pan setup, but I believe some of those issues have been corrected in the latest models.

Thanks for your replay, this is just great to share experience on some of the machines.
Best regards CNCDon

Oh yes, and BTW, I paid a total of $80,000 delivered and installed for this machine.

We have the VMC 1000 XP3. Runs like a bear. I'm looking for some help in modifying my
Mastercam ver 9 post for the AI-NANO. Any help would be appreciated.

Heidenhain Control

Buy it! Heidenhain controls are FAR SUPERIOR to Fanuc controls. Might be a little learning curve for some operators but you get all the bells and whisles that you have to pay extra for with Fanuc junk. Great machine for tool room or production.
