Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about the machines he has made plans for.!?
I'm looking to build my very own machine, and this would be a great machine to start up with I think... But I would like to get som input from you guys before I go ahead and buy the plans from him.

I thank you guys for your opinions. I'm gonna start ordering a set of plans. Now all I have to figure out is, what router am I gonna use. Would lige to go with a porter cable or the DeWalt 2 1/4 HP router. Just need to make another mount for the router, but that can easily be made...
Only Concern is if the Porter Cable router can be bought for 240V 50Hz for danish use...

But once again thank you for the input... It really cleared up some issues I had before ordering the plans.

Im in Ireland so I also have the worries about the mains power. The voltage is no problem but the 50Hz frequency has had me pulling my hair out for months!...see this thread (Be warned its long!! ):

Using USA 110V Equipment on Euro 220V Mains!

However, Im sure a suitable router can be bought where u are hence avoiding the import worries.

One thing...theres a BIG difference in size between the DeWalt router that I 'want' to use and the Porter Cable router being used by RevTech. I do not know if the DeWalt I mentioned in the other post will work so be careful which router u choose. A smaller DeWalt Im sure will be fine.

Believe me. The Routers we can by here in Denmark, are not nearly as nice as the ones bought in the US. I need the Cylindrical body of the American Routers instead of the Plastic **** (xcuse my language) we buy in stores here in Denmark. The Cylindrical body is much easier to work with when making clamps for the router body.

But very heavy reading that thread, but cleared up a few things.. Almost... ;-)

I have asked PorterCable if they have an alternativ to their plunge routers, but I'm just gonna be have to wait and see if they even will return with an answer...

In Ireland we can buy all the American brands. You should search the internet to order online form a European store. Might solve your power supply problem, and your 'plastic' problem.

FYI : The Porter Cable 'router' that RevTech is using is actually called a 'Laminate Trimmer' or 'Laminate Trim Router'. A regular router is like the DeWalt one I mentioned. Its larger Hp, heavier, and a different shape.

The Plans have been bought for the SolSylva routers... Now just awaiting for the plans to turn up in the mail... nice....

They shouldn't take long. Mine arrived in under a week fron the USA to Ireland.
