| VMC 1000/20 with heidenhain tnc2500b controller question Holy crap, I'm outta breath after typing that. Anyways...just curious; my Heidenhain experience is limited to HSM Mikron work. Now I'm at the helm of an old Bridgeport. I recall hearing that you could only run 2 axes at a time with the Heidenhain, and I want to do a helical entry to cut out a pocket. Is this possible? I could zig-zag to depth, but I think the helical is much more efficient, plus it's a radiused pocket and I want to blend everything nicely....anyone know anything here? TIA Mike |

| Mike I have a TNC2500 with the manuals and it says that is can do the helical path. It has canned opps for doing it. I don't think that I have done it yet but I rember reading it. Eric |
