We are in the process of installing a new Weeke Venture 08M point to point machining center.
I am interested in hearing from anyone that has a Weeke point to point machine.
What I am interested in is things relating to the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair side of things.
For instance:
-What do you find is the biggest problem you have on a re-occuring basis?
-What are the most important skills necessary for the maintence person to have? (reading schematics, knowing how to run the machine, etc)
-Anything else I should be aware of.
We cut all our cabinet parts on a Holzma beam saw and now plan to be running all the parts thru this Weeke machine as they come off t he Holzma. In the past we did all the machining on a series of independant machines, now we will have most of our eggs in one basket, so to speak. We do not plan to have any parts que between the Holzma and the Weeke. My biggest concern is when this machine goes down it will idle 100 employees thoughout the plant very quickly. So I am tying to be as proactive as possible in getting our maintenanace personel up to speed on what to expect with this machine.
Any words of wisdom you can offer would be appreciated.
