We just visited the plant in Shenyang after the CIMT and wow, SMTCL is an impressive company. The overall scale of the operation was massive and the quality of machine tools being built was excellent.

SMTCL is new to the US market in 2011. I'm interested to see how quickly they become a major player in the market here.

Globally, SMTCL/SYMG is the second largest machine tool manufacturer in the world, (1st is Mazak) but due to recent cooperations, I suspect they will be No.1 worldwide by the 1st half of 2012.
