Weird problem with Brother tapping center

Got a Weird problem. Have a Brother TC32A and suddenly while operator was running it just doesn't mill the parts one cycle, just barely grazes the gates on the part. Checked milling head height, made sure tool holder wasn't loose. Ballscrew on Z was changed 4 weeks ago, so also checked coupler. Everything is good. Toolchange looks dead on. Parts that I measure were out .4 on height, and dowel pin holes were out over 2 mm. Kinda wondering about Thermal compensation. I know where you can turn it off and on in the parameters, but whats the different type of systems for this function? All the other machines I've seen with thermal compensation here are with Macome switchs, basically really sensitive prox switches. Thanks for anyones help.

Did you figure out your problem?
I bet you were in Dry run mode.
Brother control uses 'dry run' to off set your coordinate set 'Z' value when pressed. You can change the value.
