Default Home and Limit switch wiring assistance needed.

Hi, been lurking here a while. Finally got a CNC router. It is a Blackfoot DIY machine. I got it used and disassembled. I am not exactly sure why the wiring was removed completely before disassembly but it was. I have most of it wired up and can actually make sawdust now.
I found quite a few threads, but not exactly what I was looking for and didn't want to resurrect a post from 2006. (maybe I'm not searching the right keywords)
Anyway I really want to get the home and limits working, right now all I have is the E-stop switch.

I have the CNC4PC C1 Parallel BoB. Currently I have E-stop on 10 and 13 has a jumper (that was in place) which from the settings in Mach3 is the limit switches. 15 is set as probe for zeroing
I have 2 switches on each axis and was thinking I could use one on each axis as the home switch. I wired the other 3 in series as NC and they work.

I wired the other 3 in Parallel to be my Home switches, my problem is I don't have enough inputs for everything.

I have 5 available, but have six things to input.

I guess my question is can the E-stop and the Limit switches share one input? That would leave me 3 for home and 1 for probe.

another thing, the wiring diagram i found from Jerry Clark /2006 shows 3 switches per axis. Should I go ahead and put in a 3rd switch or is 1 home and 1 limit per axis enough?

    Thanks

You could wire all of the switches to a single input, as long as you only home one axis at a time.

So If I wired them all in series and I hit ref all to home that could cause a problem. I should just home one axis at a time?
on a side note, how often do you home each axis? I've just been zeroing each axis to whatever piece I'm cutting.
    Thanks

If you use the default homing script, it won't cause any problems, because by default, they home one at a time.

I home my machine when I turn it on, and run all my parts from the home position.
