Some of the people using Mach3 are setting their units to inches and using 10X or 16X microstepping along with 200 step-per-revolution motors and perhaps 5 to 10 pitch leadscrews. They will end up with some fairly large numbers as a result.
Whereas, if you are using single stepping and mm units and only 48 steps per rev, then your numbers are going to look relatively small by comparison.
So I'm not sure that I'd worry about that. Try it and see whether you get the expected results.
