cleaned up and about ready to get busy.
And first test part from corian molds I cut. Testing epoxies and paints to see what works well together.
Have the new PC up and running. Installed Mach 3 from the original DL I had, so it put things in the registry properly, then just copied over the whole directory from my backup. Everything seems to be working nicely.
Now I have loads more space in that corner. Which is important as my shed is small.
The old bigger monitor used to sit on that triangle of wood where the kb now is, along with all my bits and such. There was a shelf just below it where the kb and mouse were. And the old PC took up that whole stand the new pc is on. So I can and will cut that back and make it smaller.

Cutting out fuse halves to glue together to make a fuse plug for a little composite glider.
MDF spoiler held down and part to cut attached with spray glue. Then rough and finish and wa-la, half a fuse. Will centers then glue together so I have a center line when sanding. Also will soak with epoxy.

Fuse halves pinned together. They got loads of epoxy which was soaked in with a heat gun.
Also roughed the nose cone plugs and coated with epoxy the same. Once that's cured I go back and run the finishing pass.

Did you get the Edit G-code button working?

Yeah, was on that config page. I swear I looked there before and just didn't see it. Must be that getting old thing. Thanks.

What material are you using to make fuselage? It looks like MDF.

Yeah, it's MDF. I will glue up the halves, make sure it is straight, then will mix up some think epoxy and wipe it on. Then you hit it with a heat gun and the MDF just soaks it up like a sponge. Keep doing that till it doesn't take any more. It gives it a hard shell to sand down to 3000 grit and polish. Then I use that to make a mold.
Here is the fuse for the 60" along with two for the 40" that I made...
Gerry, never noticed that joint cam you made, shows how well I pay attention to tag lines. Cool stuff. What sort of bits you use for the joints that are angled in?

Can you document every step because it's a project that I will like to work on in the future.

I can try. I guess I should maybe start a thread in the model sub forum here at the bottom? Nah, that's like work...
LOL

You don't need every step but it will help.😊

DOH. slow brain on me.
In other news, I managed to pick up an old 4 axis hot wire machine. I built the electronics long ago, but gonna update them. And eventually will update the mechanicals as well. Think I might get a few carriages and attach cross members, put them at the end of my machine so I can move them out of the way, and then position them when I want to use them, as you sometimes need to change distance between them depending on the sweep of a cut you are doing.

Put down new mdf for the spoilboard and planed it down level.
