Hello all,
I've got a .375 boring bar for the little production stuff I make for my customer. I noticed my cheap grips are looking awfully worn out on my Harley. Started drawing some up in mastercam. A pretty simple design for my limited tooling and knowledge. The hole for the grip to fit on the handle bars is 5 inches deep. I don't think my little 3/8 boring bar will even hang out that far let alone be steady, or not snap altogether (that would be my luck). The handle bars are 1.010" if I remember, so I was figuring on profiling the outside of my 1.75" diameter 6061 aluminum, center drill it, peck drill a .75 hole, then bore it out to the final diameter. So I could run a .75 boring bar? .625? Best insert shape? Insert angle? What do some of you run for operations like this?

Thanks
Kyle
