    Default Cleaning ISO tapers

    Hello,

We use WD-40 as the all-around cleaning and lubrication solution, but obviously it leaves a thin layer on the surface and thus is not recommended for cleaning ISO tapers. Some of our tool holders have a habit of getting stuck in the spindle and not even the tool changer can pull it out. What do you recommend?

    Thanks!

Are you sure it is getting stuck because it is not clean? On our one mill the tool holder cat40 will get stuck when you do heavy milling and because the piston that releases the pull stud is not set properly.

We just wipe down the tapers dry any time they come out of the machine.
