i have had good luck with truemade products
solid carbide helical ground boring bars
they offer a .135 min bore with a 7/64 shank (135bx) but at a 9xd length ration it will be tuff to do
they also offer a .150 min bore with a 1/8 shank(150bx) which would be a 8 x D length ratio but you might not have enough chip clearance

Is it not possible to use a reamer?

I could use a reamer if I gound the relief off the tip. the bore steps down. But my leader who orders my tooling does not want to have to make 'special' toolong...lol
