For anyone wanting to try thread milling from a live cross tool below is a proven example. Hope it helps.

Z = Location point plus “W” equals “Z”
X = Finish point
V = Haven’t used it yet but I think it’s equal to a “Y” location
K = Equals “W” just change to a minus value
P = Equals number of pitches divided in half
Note1: The distance from “X” start point to “X” finish point need to be full pitches. For example with a pitch of .050 for a ¼-20 thread and starting at X0 you can finish at X.05, X.100, X.150 and so on.
Note2: “W” equals your thread major minus your tool diameter divided in half.
Note3: The amount of revolutions needed (“X” start, “X” end, and “P”) to complete your thread will vary depending on how many teeth your threadmill has.
