    Default Application Watchdog Error

As a point of reference, this is on a new 4848 Pro NEMA34. This error appears immediately upon startup of Mach3. According to the ESS configuration utility, the ESS is recognized. I'm not sure if this is pertinent, but it looks like 1 of my limit switches is not working.

Does this look familiar to anybody?

I forgot the error so this may not help but if you have an E-stop, did you turn it so it popped out. I forgot to do that and had some sort of error when I first started up. If not, I'm sure one of the experts will be along to help

Did you ever resolve this? I'm getting the same error message and can't find any information on it.

it normally means your buffer is timing out. Look in Mach3 setup pages for a time setting for the watch dog. The smoothie board buffers some of the g-code and it looks to to see of the buffer times out. If you increase the buffer time limit to the max it stops happening. Just set it to what ever the max is.

I'll try and look later to set what specific page its on. IIRC its one of the smoothie board setup pages.

Mine did this early on but stopped when I reset it to the max

I've tried changing the watchdog settings and controller frequency to no avail. Were these the settings you were referring to?

I had the same issue, but it’s cause my E-stop button was engaged! *DOH*
