    Default Wiring a HY VFD Inverter

    I need some help on how to wire up a HY VFD Inverter to my CNC Router Parts controller box. Has anyone wired their inverter to their computer to control the RPMs. Also any help with the parameters for the inverter would be great help. Please see the items that I have below. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    CNC Router Parts Control Box
    4-Axis Digital Plug and Play NEMA 23 System - CRP800-00E-5 | CNCRouterParts

    VFD Inverter
    2 2KW 220V Variable Frequency Drive Inverter VFD 3HP 10A | eBay

    Thanks

    Here are the Parameter settings

    Huanyang Mactec54

    PD000=0 for Parameter unlock ( 1 ) for Parameter Lock

    PD001=0 (1 For Remote Control)

    PD002=0 ( 1 For 0-10v Terminal Control or Remote Trim Pot Control )

    ( J1 Also Needs to be set for Terminal Control )

    PD003=400

    PD004=400

    PD005=400

    PD007=20

    PD008=220

    PD009=15

    PD010=8

    PD011=120 ( 100 Minimum Setting with Quality VFD, 120 is Safe)

    PD13= 08 is for Factory reset, Only use this to set VFD to Factory Default Settings

    PD014 Acceleration=12 ( Adjust to suit)

    PD015 Deceleration=12 (Adjust to suit) ( PD15 is ignored IF PD26=1 Then the Spindle will Coast to a Stop)

    PD141=220 ( Motor Rated Voltage ) (120 for VFD Rated for 120v )

    PD142=9 ( Motor Max Amps) (Set for your motor Amp Rating 2.2Kw Spindle 9 amp Max)

    (Set for your motor Amp Rating 1.5Kw Spindle 7 amp Max)

    PD143=2 ( Motor Number of Poles)

    PD144=3000 (Max Motor RPM) =3,000= (24,000)

    PD70=0 ( This may need to be set to 1 if Control Voltage is 0-5v )

    PD72=400

    PD73=120 (100 Minimum Setting )

    If using Mach3 your simplest solution would be with 2 wires from RS485 connection on HY VFD to serial port with the HY plugin. Wouldn't need to touch enclosure.

    Thank you for the parameters. This should really help.

    All of my control boards are in the enclosure. I need to know which wires go where on the enclosure and the inverter. Thank you for the help.

    If you want to use the on-board 0-10V analog output than there's no1 better and willing to help than Cncrouterparts , you should call or email. There is another option to control spindle with HY vfd and mach3 that don't require any wiring to enclosure. You use the RS485 connection on HY VFD to serial port(2 wires) on Comp running Mach3. Google Hunayang plugin, if interested will give step by step.

    Hi Dan,

    I am in the process of building my CRP4848 using the same electronics and I would like to hear more about this plugin and wire connection on the HY VFD. How to connect the RS485 on the VFD to a USB to RS485 converter.

    Thanks in advance

    Just google Hunayang plugin, that thread can give you a lot more info than my post. If you have any questions after that post back. Since Mach3 is on its way out and your just starting out I would take a look at UCCNC. There's a simple Macro to control the HY
    vfd just like the plugin for Mach3.

    I have a Hitachi vfd that I connected to the Nema 34 kit. Does yours have the large plug for the spindle control? Mine was wired for it, I just bought a connector for it from Allied Electronics Here are parts I used, please double check.

    TE Connectivity 206044-1 Allied Stock#: 70083006

    This is great. Do you have a diagram for pin to pin connectivity?

    I need to check the VFD but it looks like I'm using pin 7,8,9, and 10 coming out of the cncrouterparts electronics. When I was hooking it up it was pretty easy to see which wire was which. Using their default mach3 config I could see the voltage go up/down when adjusting the speed control in mach3.
