Hi,
I want to monitor the status* of "Makino S33" and "Makino S56" CNC Machines having Professional 3 Fanuc Controller while running a job. How can i interface it to a PC? Is there any applications available to monitor the status?
*status - The data like "Spindle speed, rpm, number of jobs, job duration... etc
Any help in to solve this will be appreciable.
Thanks in advance
-Basil
MultiDNC from Spectrum CNC Technologies has the software your looking for. They can monitor 500 points of interest simultaneously, and can even stream the data onto the internet so you can see the information remotely in real time from any PC.
I use an Argotech PA-4 to monitor my machine. It is set up to monitor a 0.2 micro drill I have drilling 24 holes in a stainless steel part and takes measurements of the diameter during production with an accuracy down to 5 micron. Enough said.
Here's a video of it:

Google 'emmaco' to find it.
I am late in reply.

CIMCO offers a complete solution for CNC Status Monitoring.
If your Fanuc supports FOCAS 2 interface then the job is easy.
Else, you need to install some hardware on the machine, to sense the electrical status.
The software then monitors, on line. Job count, Spindle run time, OEE all is possible.
