Having problems with a reacurring cycle error (Digital input main. Elman 2 Bas Waiting off). Is there anyone that knows what this means and how to fix it. Its stoping programs mid cycle, tool changes seem to be a bit sluggish just befor error message apears.
Rust,
We experienced the same problem with both of our Jet 3006 machines in the past. I can't recall if it was caused by the sensor on the tool carousel, that reads the toolholder location prior to the tool change or if it was the internal sensor that checks the seating of the toolholder in the electrospindle (I believe it was the latter). One machine just required a good air cleaning of the electrospindle and a thorough cleaning (with scotch brite) of all the toolholders, particularly the surfaces that contact the electrospindle. The other machine improved for a while after the same treatment but eventually would not make it through a tool change without shutting down even after a thorough cleaning. The operator tried a trick he picked up at a previous job and dropped a thin flatwasher into the machine end of each toolholder and the machine has run flawlessly since (approx. 2 years).
The machine has been running the same program since the company bought it.
It seems pretty archaic.
Is there another way to run it?
We draw with Auto CAD, then the machine operator re-draw manually line by line the design by genesis.
Can we export the geometry from dxf to Genesis? Or Wich other program can we use to
generate the toolpath? So we can create the toolpath from the vectors that we design in autocad.
