Default C.R. Onsrud table fixture or kurt vice.

Please excuse me if I'm posting this in the wrong place. I have a C.R. Onsrud M series table router and I have a question. Looking to do some mill work that doesn't involve using the table with the suction on. What i'm thinking of doing is taking the Kurt vice off our Bridgeport mill and putting it on the table. Thing is my idea isn't ideal and probably wont work, so just looking for some advice or suggestions. The material i'm wanting to cut is Aluminum 7"x7"x.25" Any help would be much appreciated.

There is no reason it won't work. Just anchor the vice down to a spoil board. One problem you may have is bowing the 1/4 inch thick piece in the vice. If possible, screwing the aluminum part down to something more solid would be a good idea.
