That depends on how it's programmed. There are two different drilling operations.Would the machine do one drop to drill all 6 holes or would it try to use the same tool for all 6?
Look in the Guide Topics in Xilog Plus under Help.
There's B (boring), which will drill with the specified bit.
Then BO (Optimised boring), which can use any tools that it wants.
You need to set them all to the same length, or the Optimised boring won't be able to use multiple tools, because they are different lengthsWhat is the best way to check the depth on the drills? I know how to adjust them in def.tlg
What I do, is program 6 holes 32mm apart, and program to drill about .002" deep. Then manually adjust the length of each one, using the screw in the bottom of the bit, until they are all pretty close. Once they are all the same, adjust the length in the software so that the spurs are just barely cutting into the surface.
That's how I do it.
