    Default Morbidelli Calibration sequence...

The motor that controls the tool changer burnt out. The new one is $1600 and several weeks away! I know I can run the machine without that motor, however it will not complete the calibration sequence without it. The tech at SCM doesn't know how to change the calibration sequence so that it will not attempt to calibrate that motor. any ideas??

If SCM can't help, you're probably out of luck.
I looked at ours when I calibrated it this morning. Looks like the carousel spins around until tool #1 is at the spindle.

If the motor is off, I guess you could try spinning the carousel by hand until tool #1 is in the correct position. But I really don't know if that will work. There may be an encoder signal from the motor that the control needs to see.

There is a way to do it, we've had a similar problem before. The tech didn't seem to be in a good mood. Anyway he was supposed to email Italy and see how to do it. Its frustrating because the machine doesn't have to have that tool changer to work.
