Yeah, I got the OEM to quote, and they said they would make it, but that lead time is still such a killer. They must have been in a good mood to quote though so that is nice. We would be willing to try moving your design from paper to reality, but would need to know the lead time associated with the whole project. It seems that if the lead time is above 16 weeks, and based on other prices it would just seem prudent to cut our losses with this lathe and buy a new machine.

Sale would be thru Mag to you I believe since they have the parts/designs for the belt driven encoder mount thing that would accept our new dual resolver feedback unit. I think they would quote our lead time plus 1 week or so... I bet it could be made into 15.5 weeks if it would get the order going. You working with Bruce or Helmut or themil there?

Well, we're up: A PO has been placed with Mag for the first resolver replacement! Now the clock starts! We will post results.

Boeing is up and running and happy with our replacement Avenger live tooling dual resolver replacement! It works like a charm. Came right up and ran without any adjustments needed (as we expected)

So Mag is ready to take orders for 4-5 more for the next round. Let us know if you are interested in replacing this on your machine!
