I just use a 3/4" wrench.
Ok, so I have figured out which Pull studs I need
The CAT40 Long Body Pull STuds from Nordicor
CAT-40 Cincinnati Retention Knobs
However, they are sold out of their pull stud sockets.
I came across Maritool, and am trying to figure out which of their two CAT40 Pull Stud Sockets I need.
The PSW40
PSW40 pull stud socket for CAT40 or BT40 MariTool
or
The PSW40M
PSW40M pull stud socket for CAT40 and BT40 MariTool
I just use a 3/4" wrench.
A 3/4" wrench? that could work, but what if I needed to tighten the pull stud to a specified torque?
These guys make the socket as well:
Techniks Toolholders for CNC Machines and CNC Routers – Magnetic Workholding, Lifting Magnets, ER Collets, CNC Tooling, Deburring Machines
Very good habit to use socket and torque wrench. I believe 85 ft/lbs is what is recommended.
Thanks for the link.
lake,
We have tried ordering stuff from Techniks before, but they only sell to distrubuters, meaning we can't order from them. Do you know of another site that we could order a socket from? Perhaps one from the two links from Maritool I suggested in my prior post?
I still haven't gotten word on which of the two, the PSW40 or the PSW40M I need to use...
The PSW40 looks like the one you need if you are using pullstuds/tooling with 5/8" UN threads. The PSW40M looks like it's for metric threaded pullstuds/tools which arent as common.
Looking at it that way, I bet the "M" stands for metric... Never thought of that.
Thanks for everyone's help!
