How Do I add Airblast (M07) to my Machine?

    Hey guys,

I want to add an air blast function to my arrow 750 with a2100 control.

As it sits now, both m07 and m08 turn on the coolant pump. I would like to attach an electric air valve and control it with the m07 command. Any ideas on how to achieve this? I would assume that M07 and M08 turn on 2 different relays in the control panel somewhere?

Run a program cycling M07/M09 and see which relay is clicking.
Then do the same with M08/M09.
You might need a small delay between on and off.

I tried that. Looks like the same one is going off for both m07 and m08

    I solved similar problem.
I put a 3 position switch two pole switch on panel for M7/M8

    1. Coolant
    2. off. Convenient to stop flood/noise and during program testing.
    3. Air.

You could add a 4th so coolant and air would be together.

    Or a mechanical fix!

On the outlet pipe put a two way tap, with non return valves on feed pipes.
    1. Tap selects Coolant.
    2. Halfway Air + coolant. Poor man's mist.
    3. Air.

Just wire up the air solenoid to tun on when the coolant is on.
Instruct operator how to do a simple task.

Both of these fixes together, I now remember worked well together.

Nope, not going to work. I need it to be a programmable action, not manual.

Do you have the optional M70's installed on your control? If so it is fairly straightforward to add whatever you need and assign M70 thru M76 to the function. I have a pallet changer using three channels, and an indexer using another.

I don't have the option. Looks like this is not going to happen too easily.
