my cincinnati arrow 500 1997,acramatic 2100,bds4 drives,my issue is that when i first power on the machine everything is fine no falts or problams ,when machine power required ,i press power again ,some contacters engage but the drive dont power on and a fault 39-6 drives ready signal not seen ,servo ready control input not seen,i recently unhooked the forth axis and i did instal a loop back plug,i have been working on this issue for months ,i feel its something small i am over looking please help if you have encountered this thank you

Buy me a Beer?

machine worked b4 removing 4rth axis?
machine has not worked since removing the 4rth axis?
both statements 100% true?

if so then u didnt jumper something.... bds4 has drive ready relay output that goes to a2100. not sure what ur loopback plug does so cant say whether it has jumper for this or not. u probably need to jumper these 2 wires that were in the 20pin white molex plug on front of bds4 so a2100 sees 4rth axis as "ready"

20 pin main connector on front of each axis. bottom 2 pins are fault relay output. u gotta short those 2 pins together or you will get this result.

mike, when main power is applied control off this is what i see,psr - no lights,on the vfs5-sys ok green light, cpu ok green light , on the bds4 units thair 4 units thay all have sys ok green lights ,thay all have undervolt red lights on , after i press the control green button the system loads ,the pendent says, x +.00003 f80% next line down ,y+00003 s105% ,next line down says ,z-.00003 not ready ,. after i push the green button again nothing changes still says machine power required after about 10 seconds alarm 39-6 comes up ,drives are not enabled. when i go into the electrical cabinet and manually engage the drives contacter the green light for the dc bus comes on the psr .and the red underlolt lights go out on the bds4 s ,when i release the comtacter thay come back on ,,thats about all i can tell you .one thought that seems wrong is the z axis being the only coordinet that is a negitive number ,also where it says not ready on the pendent is that in fact refuring to the z axis or just to system in general, i cant thank you enough for your help ,im a one man show and if i can figure this out it will save me alot of head acks and money ,thanks again

1) there is no sys ok lite on the bds4s so clearify what you mean here.... red uv lite on, ANY other lite on? greeen? red??

2) z is the issue it seems so it shud not go green and no red lites - u need to stand at the cabinet and watch the z VERY closely and report the lites compared to x&y....

3) so NO RED lite on Z???? there are like 4 reds & 1 green on each axis drive - WHAT IS STATE OF ALL LITES ON Z WHEN U DO THIS?

u need to be watching the drives like a hawk while someone pushes the green go button.... what happens in that first 2 seconds before it faults? lites? enable lites all come on for 1-2 sec - even z? then a red lite blinks at u on z - u need to look and see which one?

if u dont get it and want to talk, call us we will try to walk u thru it. ask for randy (Im actually out of office tomorrow)

mike ,when someone presses the green button and i am at the cabinet watching this is what happens ,red fault light on vfs5 comes on steady ,on the bds units x,y,z units a green ballance come on steady ,on the forth axis nothing changes ,the ballance light does not come on like the others ,that is all that happened i did it three times in a row and it did the same thing.
