A2100 psu power supply and floppy drive

Just swapped out my psu power supply in '96 arrow 500 a2100. Used a 450 w at style power unit but now the floppy will not work, I connected two cables from power to mb and that's all I remember seeing with power attached. The control boots up saying the floppy is there just cannot access it, did not know if I missed a cable or what? I have changed out the floppy drive twice and am using a known good one. Does zip drive use same cable? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks to this board I cloned my hard drive 2 months before it failed, I used 64gig ssd samsung drive and bought extras. Works perfect. Lots of suppport for this control and it works great very easy to master. May hook up ethernet, if floppy is not going to work out.
thanks
eric

Floppy drives require power directly from the p/s.
The connector for the floppy drive power is approx. 1/2" x 3/16" in size.

Buy me a Beer?

The original floppy drives that came from Cincinnati did not have a direct connection to the power supply.

The floppy connector on the A2100 had one connection to the WS board, and another to the bridge board. I believe the connector on the bridge board is what brings power to the floppy, so you may have missed this connector when you put the WS board back in.

Many of these connectors are not keyed, so it is also possible that you didn't line the connectors up properly when putting it back together.
