    CABLE MISSING

    Good day all

came in this morning to find my Arrow 500 with a little green and yellow box displaying "cable missing" on the display screen
I've took the back off the monitor housing and checked the monitor cables - all looks OK - unplugged all the monitor cables back to the controller and reset them thinking that would be the problem - no luck
the bios doesn't display on start up either - unplugged the HD and reset the plugs - no luck - all i get is this little green and yellow box on the screen
    anyone had this before?
think i'll try going around the KTI board
I have an extra A2100 controller here if I need a video card - if NT runs video cards - don't know that for sure either

    thanks for any help folks

    no luck yet

well... it's 1:00 here and no success as of yet
tried a new VGA cable from the controller to the screen - same little colorful box on the monitor

tried the spare video card - nothing... just that little green and yellow box on the monitor screen (hope this isn't the box of death)

machine powers up but screen and pendant do not - can not power up the controller to get the doors open or move the axis

going to try a different monitor... just in case but, i don't think that's the problem

    got it!!!

    boy... do i feel dumb

ends up that just because the power turns on doesn't mean the controller does

had a burnt out power supply on the controller

just happened to have a spare, in the other controller, that works just fine

    (thank you John Blankenship!!)

all is good in my world again
