Hello, Awhile back, my x axis feedback cable malfunctioned. I spliced in some non-hi-flex cable from a local electronics supply and just hung it over the back of the enclosure and down to the x motor. I put it inside some poly tubing to protect it and it flexes very little that way, so it will last indefinitely; however, I know I need to find the right stuff soon and install it properly. I have tried with Lapp and other searches. Lapp makes all the paired hi-flex, but they don't make anything with individually shielded pairs. I'm looking for 4 pair 22 ga. with overall shielding and at least one pair individually shielded. Lapp says minimum 5000 ft. custom run to get 16 ft. Has anyone here seen another supply without paying $960 to Cinncinnati for the 16 ft. of cable? Mike Kilroy, I believe you checked your stock a couple months ago with no luck. Thanks |

| The only cable I will use for encoders is Belden 9891, it is individually shielded pairs and over all braid shield, it also has a larger pair for the power. The only problem is finding someone to sell you a short length as it is mucho $$$. Al.

| Thanks Al, My bend radius is 2" and Belden specs this one at 3.5". I also need hi-flex which is normally rated at about 1 million bend cycles. I sure wish that Cinncinnati had designed with a larger bend radius or a hanging loop which would eliminate most of the bending. |
