I have three Cincinnati Arrow Vertical Mills with the A2100 Control. I would like to purchase a spare Realtime Board #3-424-2168A02 for spare in case of failure. My Question is, can I just replace the board or is there steps involved to make it compatable with each machine, such as serial control number. I so, is it a matter of cahnging the BIOS or is the info burned an EPROM? Would this be the case for Bridge Board (BBB) also? Thanks, Dave |

| IIRC You can just replace the board, there's nothing specific about it to the CNC. There are CMOS settings that must be made in case of battery failure. Don't recall what they are. Bridge Board can also be replaced at will, no settings are on it. It plugs into a key at the back of the card cage, and that key contains the CNC serial number. The option code for that CNC will look at the serial number key for a match so that config and options are enabled. HTH Ron |
