vfs5 spindle? might be the batt back ram battery died and you lost p1 orient position? (we fix these) pm me if this might be it?
did u try teaching it a new orient position? if that fixes it.... know how? I can send u a doc if u need....
I have a 99model arrow 750 with a2100 controls.
21 station changer.
We had a storm here and the power went down.
When I started the machine everything seems to be working fine, except when I try to pick up any tool it tries to get it from station 10.
When I return it it returns it to station 10.
It then changes the location of that tool on the table to t1 located station 10.
then if i try to pick up t2 it does the same thing. Tool 1 and 2 will both have station 10 as their location.
Migrating tools are set to off. and the machine does register the correct location when indexing. As I'm indexing it says station 1,2,3,4,5 as I index.
I have reloaded tool table from backup.
Any help is much appreciated

I fixed this yesterday.
I booted up machine and then cut power with the breaker. That way the machine didn't have a chance to write the same bad information to drive before shutdown and had to start up fresh. Basically I did the exact same thing that "broke" it. It seems to be running fine now. With all these storms lately I have had 3 breakdowns in 1 month.(power supply, servo drive and now this) I peviously had 0 breakdowns in 3 years. It seems like I'm getting a lot of fluctuations in voltage here for some reason.
Agreed, it sounds like the classic case of batt back ram batt going. they were supposed to last about 6 years and like yours a lot are 1999 or 10+ yrs old. If you can leave power on it will obviously help. When it comes time to replace it let us know and we can help.
Mike what is the turnaround time for fixing these drives?
thanks again,
Scott
