arrow 500 spindle motor fan

I have a arrow 500. The spindle motor fan is not working. The unit has 115v coming in and is not bound. Is this fan supposed to run at start up or is it controlled thermally? The machine has the CT control .

I am not sure if spindle motor is the same on CT arrow as 2100 arrow.... if so, we might be able to help you with a replacement - pm me if so & interested. If a cooling fan has correct voltage gong to it, it should turn. I believe the voltage on 2100 version of spindle has 230v 1ph fan tho...

The spindle motor fan runs continuously on my Arrow 500 with CT control.

Thanks Joe. I will have to look into it further. There is power at the fan but it appears to have a capacitor that may also be the problem.
Another new problem yesterday. Have been performing tool changes no problem. All the sudden does not recognize drum to spindle. Drum to park is fine so I swapped the switches but still problem with drum to spindle. The switch I moved works now for the park position.
Do both switches work independently of each other or together. Any help would be great. Also have you ever had to restore the software. I have a static rem corrupt error that goes away after 4 or 5 clears.

Have never restored but a few I have talked to have. Do you have the software and procedures?
