    Arrow2 750 Coolant problem thru spindel

    I've lost my coolant thru spindel on my cincinnati arrow2 750.

    When I turn on thru spindel coolant M28, the pump starts and I don't get any error codes, but there is no coolant flood coming out of spindel.
    There is no voltage on SOL5 (the coolant valve), but there is no break in wiring to the PCB.

    As a test i changed the SOL4 (external coolant) and SOL5 (internal coolant) plugs and preformed a M8 test. The result is that the valv for internal coolant opened and pump started, and I got a flood thru spindel. So there is no plugging of the coolant pipeline.

    Anyone out there who has had the same problem ?

    I don't know what to look for anymore. Is there a fuse or something on a PCB that is blown ?

    Whatever drives SOL5 is not working.
    Is it a relay? If so can you check it's function. Might be failed.
    Or is there a fuse in the SOL5 circuit that has failed?

    Well, I know that what ever that driving SOL5 is not working. But I was hoping someone has som experience or knowleg of what is driving SOL5.

    I do not have an eletrical schem, so I am lost.

    It is best to leave this to someone who has experience fault finding.
    It may be best to call a service person, but continue if you think you can.

    It may end up less expensive to pay for a service call.

    Removing cards can sometimes cause problems - just a friendly warning.
    Problems like loss of setup memory and other un-recoverable surprises.

    If know how to backup ALL of the settings, and be able to restore them, proceed.

    If you can show us a photo of the card that drives it we may be able to assist.
    Trace the wiring from SOL5 back to where it is driven from.
    It will be a relay, or some circuit card.

    Found the eletric manual, and found out the SOL5 is opened by a Modul 17 in the IO board. But there is a chip missing, found out to be a Output chip.

    The chip is marked QTC, MOC, Z500, 923Q. There are more Modules and allmost all have this chip. When I try to run internal flood the LED on module 17 is on, but no power on the SOL5.

    Could it be that the problem is just the missing output chip ?

    The 'missing' output chip? How many pins does the chip have. Pictures please?
    Probably not, unless somebody stole the chip, or it fell out - never happens in my experience.
    Do you have (or had) human gremlins?

    Yes, I might have gremlins in the box

    The chip can be missing from before I got the machine, I have never used internal flood before, and now when i was going to use it, it didn't work.

    No harm to plug one in there, hopefully there is no overload on that circuit to fry a new chip, It worked form the SOL4 driver.
    Borrow the chip from the SOL4 circuit.
    It will, in all probability work.
    Make sure all power is removed, and power has been isolated for 1 minute before removing the chip, and expect the pins to be held quite firmly, so lever the MOCZ500 out squarely.

    If you plug it in the wrong way around, it just won't work, but do get it right the first time.
    You should have no problem purchasing a replacement.

    Isocom | Optoelectronics and Displays | Optoelectronics | OptoCoupler | Thyristor/Triac Output |MOC3041X
    The voltage rating is only 400v, as compared to 600v but in all likelihood will work OK.
    At worst it will short out, and leave the coolant on, and you will soon know.
