    Avenger250 MT Resolver

I am looking for a resolver with the part number 1-815-1025. We have been on numerous phone calls and emails trying to find this thing. It is no longer made and we are hoping to find one that is used or find a machine that has one in it that we could have taken out. If we don't find one then according to the Cincinnati guys we are just out. We will have to find a different machine. Anyone have anything like this?

    Resolvers source

I know what you are up against; I have been dreading the day when one of mine goes down, because it would mean the death of the lathe. Have you tried contacting the people that made the resolver for Cincinnati?
    MOOG Components Group
    1213 North Main Street
    Blacksburg, Virginia
    540 552 3011

The division has been bought-out and resold several times so it is hard to find somebody that knows very much. I dealt with a Missy Meredith at 1-800-336-2112 Ext 181 I sent mine in for a free inspection with the hopes of getting it repaired, but it was "beyond economical repair" at that time. Things might have changed I would contact them and see what they can do for you.
I also had some sub-spindle resolvers die and they didn't have any, but they tracked two down and bought them back from an old customer then inspected them before selling them to me. It turned out to be a great deal and kept 2 of our 250MS lathes still making parts.

    Resolver info

I forgot to add their part number for the main spindle resolver is
    SSJBH-99-C-1

And are you sure that the resolver is your problem? There is a signal Amp used with these resolvers that can go bad and is much less $$$ to replace or repair. Also I would double check the RIPT card and confirm that it's not your problem before I spent too much or threw-in the towel.
I have several Avengers and I always trade parts to confirm where the problem lies before I expend any capital on parts that might not be the source of the problem.
Your best source for a resolver might still be a used machine... Good hunting!

If you do decide to change machines we might be interested in your Avenger for parts to keep ours running. God Bless

Wow. We made a replacement for this for cincinnati a couple years back when they had a customer who needed it badly. We supply them lots of thsi old stuff.

That said, we can do it again for you if you are interested. Give us a call if that is allowed.... not sure if it is. I will ask a moderator in another group.

Hi guys. We have tried every avenue for this. Moog said they may be able to repair it but not very hopeful. We know for sure it is the resolver. We had a service call to confirm it.

Visteon, we can make a drop in replacement for this for you. We have done so already for Cincinnati. Just let us know if you would like a quote. Mike@KilroyWasHere.com

I believe this may have started out as a Clifton SSJBH-50-A-11 part number, described as a 1X + 9X Resolver. It then had a specially wired and mounted connector
    on the side of it.
