    Exclamation Cincinnati Milacron Pendant Trouble

The pendant on our Milacron (Acramatic 950 Controller) seems to be the only thing we can't get to work on our machine. The light turns on during machine start, and we get feedback from the pendant (can hear beeps at controller when buttons are pressed). Is there any reason why we can't actually use the pendant to jog the machine? Is there something simple that we're just missing, a variable incorrectly set? What mode do we have to be in to use pendant? We push the button but the light never turns on during normal machine operations.

    Any help would be appreciated...

    HELP!

***Note: I am not the operator, just thought I'd check with the forums first***

Hopefully you've got it working by now. You can use the pendant in any mode as long as you are not executing a part program. Press the handwheel button on the panel, pick an axis and increment and wheel away.

What kind of machine is it?

    Still not working...

    Hi hmtr,

Thank you for the reply! Unfortunately, we are still unable to use the pendant. The machine is a Milacron 30v 3 axis mill. We can use the Acramatic 950 powerfeed buttons to jog the machine. When we push the handwheel button however, the controller "beeps", but the LED light does not turn on. The lights on the pendant will turn on when you push them, and the controller will make the same "beep". Any ideas? At this point we'll try anything - not having the pendant working is a huge pain...

    -Ken

Sounds like we're gonna have to roll up our sleeves and dig into this one. Give me a call @ 316.290.9470.

    SOLVED!

Thanks to Tom the solution was found! Seems our machine used to have a "Safety Ladder" installed. When we purchased the machine however, this was not installed and thus was leaving the switch open all the time, inhibiting the Handwheel in the controller software. The answer was to put a jumper wire between terminals 1 and 5 on the second DCI card from the left in the control cabinet.

    Perfect! Thanks TOM!!!!!
