According to the operating manual, error 9036 static RAM file system corrupt,
"There is a problem with the C: drive file system, possibly due to a battery faliure. Use test mode to check the file system. See section 5.3"
Unfortunately, these are the worst laid out manuals I have ever seen, and although there are quite a few section 5.3s, none that I have found in ANY of the 4 manuals have anything to do with diagnosing this error. If you have not done it already, you should record the axis parameters for the machine. I will email you the info I have for recording/entering those parameters.

It's been a couple of years ago, but I had a memory error on my CT control. Maintenance Technologies had me download the files to my PC then copy them back onto the control which fixed the error.

Give Maintenance Technologies a call and they will walk you through it. www.maint-tech.com

I had the same problem years ago. Robert Varney help me. The MAIN.PLC file is for the next version of the machine software.

    FNC Executive- standard version
    Executive part number C50000
    Executive Revision Rev 2.568

    System Program

    P0.11

The 9036 alarm is telling you that there is corrupted data in the Main.PLC file. It may be possible to go into test mode and file maintenance call up that file and look through it to find the corruption. It should give you a line number of where the corruption is.

The corruption could be caused by bad batteries in the memory card. With the power on replace the 2 AA batteries.

Open the attached main.plc file in windows notepad and compare to what you have. Do not try to copy this file into your control you can only compare it and make manual edits if you need to. The picture of the screen you sent is normal.

On your pc put a copy of cnc_com in a directory\folder by itself. Start cnc_com in a dos window\dos prompt. In file maintenance go to copy file. In there you will see copy from and copy to.
    Copy from C;main.plc
    Copy to I:main.plc
    Copy in ASCII.

The RS232a port is drive I and the RS232b port is the J drive.

On the machine once you call up the file to look at it you can change it when you exit out of the file there should be an option for exit and save.

    Daniel,
Did these backups and procedure fix your machine? I'm experiencing the same errors. I have my machines original backups but I'm having trouble communicating with the machine. I purchased the machine with bad batteries and trying to start it up for the first time since owning it.
    Thanks,
    Tom

You also require the cnc_com.exe which should be on one of the posts in a zip file. Also patience is very important.
