    Default Spindle stop failure

    Hi Everyone,
I have a Cincinnati Hawk 250 A2100 (black drives) that I do not know the history on. I have worked out most problems with it except a spindle motor or drive problem. About 50% of the time the machine will stop and start the spindle correctly. I also have to go through the alignment procedure more than once to get it to pass. When the problem happens, I command the spindle to stop. It slows down but continues to turn very slowly not stopping completely. Then I get the Alarm... I dont know if it is a drive, spindle motor, resolver, or what. One thing I have noticed is that the electric fan on the motor is very loud, as if someone put the incorrect fan on the motor. So I wonder if the motor was rebuilt and not tuned to the drive. If any one has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

This is because the control is seeing the spindle turning when it should be stopped. This is due to the spindle balance being out of adjustment. Do the procedure that is on the control alarm to correct this problem in the first error screen.
