Cincinnati Hypowermatic model 550-268

Up for sale is a Cincinnati Hypowermatic model 550-268.

Table Size is 26" X 144" (120" of X travel)

Machine was sent back to Cincinnati in 2003 for a complete rebuild. This included conversion to CNC. The control is a Siemens Acromatic 2100.

Includes 2" and 1 1/2" arbors with spacers and spare support bearings.

Machine is in excellent running condition, company is simply moving in a different direction and has no need for this machine any longer.

Thanks for your interest Saibabamachines. The machine is located inside of an air-conditioned government facility in Arizona. I am adding a couple of pictures, but if you are familiar with the Hypowermatic line, this is the big boy. 24' long from end to end. 8' wide and weighs in at about 35,000 lbs. We will be taking it off line in a week or so. As far as negotiating the price is concerned please feel free to send me a private message, considering the capability and condition of this machine, I think we are asking a very reasonable price.

This sounds fishy. Government facilities never sell off like this. They send all the machines to an auction yard, and most of the time the machines are in pieces.

Technically you are correct. They are a government subcontractor. But all of the security measures and de-badging of the machine when it leaves their facility will still apply. I think the pictures tell the story of the clean environment it lives in and I have a few more pics if you are interested.
