Wich Cam - Cad/cam

Hi,

after +- 2 years experience and work with a Quick k40 ATC with DSP I am all in all happy with the machine. The bundled software was Artcam. A friend of mine who purchased a quick K60 has Type3 so I worked a lot with both. Both are nice but now I need something more professional. I am looking for a cam solution wich is able to work with solids native - means not translated in surface only models like artcam does.
And... it has to be not too expensive and equipped with a post for the rznc as I am not able to write one by myself.

It would be nice to get help

You might try the demo for the Vectric CAM Cut3D ($300 US). It handles solids for a 3-axis machine. Also, for CAD drawing, have a look at ViaCad 2D/3D or ViaCad Pro 2D/3D.

If you need 4th axis CAM support for running your machine with a rotary table as the 4th axis, try Visual Mill, Freemill, or Deskproto (30 day trial!).

It depends...
The main profession is signmaking...
But anything a customer is asking for is a challange for me.

mostly we work in acrylic, aluminium, wood and foam.
