    CNC Machine ts-3040c-h80

    Hello every one.

I am new in this forum, and I need some help.
I get a new cnc machine ts-3040c-h80 yesterday, but I can not get it
work, I am using a IBM Thinkpad T51 and running mach 3, but I have tried
to set port and pins as it is shown in the manual, but nothing happens.

Do some one have this machine and how have you set up the port and pins?

Maybe the IBM can give enough power?

    Please help!

    Yours sincerely
    Kjeld Ottsen

    Hey

I also bought this mashine, and got problems.

When i received it, i found that the pcb mounted at the parallel port had a short. Due to bad ingineering.

The seller ( Amonstar Inc ) send me a replecement board, and now the box
powers up. ( Fan is running, and the led's at the driverboards are on ).

When i install Mach3, and runs it out of the box, i can get it moving, but in
one direction only. It sounds like it's trying to move the z-direction further
    down at the same time.

When i follow the instructions in the manual, and setup the pins, the same
    happens.

Then i install the configuration files from the manufacturer, i get into deeper s...

In Mach3, the resetbutton gets green, somtimes gray, and the text in it dissapeers. When i turn the machine on, i cant move anything.

I have given up on Amonstar, communicating with them is mostly 'black talk', just like the manual. Its a disaster.

    Dear ottsen,
    Thank you for the file.
Have you installed home and limit switchs? Have you pictures about the locals?
Have you used closed sw's for the limits and open sw's for the home?

    Best Regards
    lleal

    Did you get it working?

I initially could not reset the machile until I swapped the EMERGENCY STOP input to active LOW----then I had control.

I have just received my machine------it was not fully assembled so I had to put the cables on the Servo motors etc. Also the base bracket was bent, and some screws loose. I have fixed it all but my base table is not parallel with the X/Y movement of the gantry. It is about 1-2 m higher on one side. I don't know if the original bent bracket caused this, but in any case it needs to be fixed before I can do any proper milling/engraving

Does anyone know if the base table-gantry alignment can be adjusted mechanically? If not, is there a way I can add the correction to Mach3? Or make a G code correction or something?
