    Vac Pump Help

    Hi Guys

Need some help, our bed for vac is 3600x1200,
We have been having some problem with holding small pieces.eg 300mm x 150mm squares. In a whole sheet of 3600x1200 MDF we always have some really large peices which never move then some really small pieces which can move.

We cut these shapes into 6mm and 16mm MDF. As spindle goes around the corner it may move the piece. We are using a spoilboard of MDF approx 12mm thick. We have spoiled both sides and tape/paint up around edges
If using only half the bed we shut off the vac zones not used and put down a covering peice of material.

Our Vac pump is 10HP i have a feeling this is not enough?

Can we add another 10HP pump to create 20HP in total? would this help?
if so do we splice this new 10HP into the current line or split the bed down and run one side to one pump and the other side to the other pump.

    Any advice would be great

    Thanks
    Anthony

Our machine is roughly 3600x1500, and we have two 25HP pumps.

So yes, another pump will definitely help.
Not sure how the current pump is connected, but I'd try to connect the second pump separately to the plenum, if possible, for more flow.

What we do on small parts, is onion skin them. All small parts are first cut within .25mm, then a second pass cuts them free. Once all smaller parts are cut, then we cut the larger parts in a single pass.
