    Red Dot machines/Omni cam

I was just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with omnicam machines sold in sydney. I am thinking about buying one for the purpose of cabinet making.

to do cabinets you need an auto tool changer. (otherwise you loose to much time)

    do they have one?

can you see a machine working?

can you get done some cabinets there? than assemble them and see if you are happy with it (quality).

if not happy, keep your table saw and start saving money for a real machine.

i was thinking the same. but now i realised; i do not have the necessary knowledge to do everything by me self and i am not happy with the quality what cheap machines produce!

and so i will save my money and look around until somebody offers the service of support in australia (chinese machine; import and installation & training done)

it will happen in the next 3 years, than the smaller firms are starting to look in to sale cnc machines too.

the same thing happend already with table saws! Altendorf lost a lot of ground!

    Hello

I have had endless trouble with Reddot Australia. I stupidly bought a router and a laser off them.

The router refuses to work properly, the software or machine is faulty.
The laser won't fire up the laser tube and there seems to be problem with USB connection.

I've some info from Reddo,t little of any use. I'm having to hire experts to solve the problems.

    I'd stay away from them.
