Any chance of finding a model number marked somewhere on the steppers? I've had luck in the past by doing a google search for a model number and getting the specs.
Hi Guys
I'm one of the guys who bought a 5' X 10' machine from "China-Mart". I'm glad I was a machinist for 15 years. I bought an engine lathe and mill to keep my CNC Router running. I'm running in Mach 3. I've not had any trouble with the electronics with the exception of the spindle, which I replaced with a 5hp Colombo and a Delta VFD. Can any one tell me what the specs. are on the stepper motors. I'm making a CNC rotary table (4th axis), and don't have any idea of what kind of power (oz./in.) I'll be needing. Anaheim Automation has a stepper motor with an integrated planetary gearbox that really sounds great, but I'm not sure if the power is sufficient. I'm also looking at a Gecko breakout board and a smooth stepper to improve my system. Any help would be appreciated.

OK, I bought a rotary table on ebay. I've got it working good, but can someone tell me how to syncronize the RT to the rest of the axis (X,Y,Z). The RT needs a feed rate of about 200 in/min to turn at a good cutting speed, but that is too fast for the rest of the axis. When the RT stops the X moves too fast until the RT is told to move again. So when I put a reasonable feed rate in for X,( 90 in/min ) the RT turns extreamily slow, which slows every thing down.
Can some one help me?
