    Default Chinese 3020 software

    Hi Guys!
This is probably not the first post that starts with: "I bought a chinese 3020 on ebay..."
It came with a copy of Cnc Usb Controller that worked fine until it was updated. Now it will only execute 25 lines of Gcode.

I tried to reinstall the version that came with the mashine but it is not working anymore.
What can I do? Is there any way to fix this? I tried Mach3 but it will not connect to the cnc.

    The 3020T has a
JP-382C board and aTB6560 stepper motor driver for the 4th axis.
Is there any other (free) software that will work with my cnc?

Mach3 is not free. What you had previous was a pirated copy of Mach3 that gave you more than 25 lines. IMHO Mach3 is a nice product but way too expensive for the casual hobbyist. Add to that, the fact you need to run XP, I looked elsewhere. I chose linuxcnc. It is a bit difficult to set up if you aren't familar with linux but after that, very easy to use.Linuxcnc is free. They do have an install that installs linux and linux cnc the makes your job a bit easier.

I am interested in theJP-382A that you linked. Description says it is USB but all I see is a parallel port. Which is it?

@ OP, option 1, buy a used PC, install windows XP 32 bit OS then re install the software that came with it, dont update anything, option 2, buy the latest hardwares with a parallel port, install windows 10 64 bit, install the software that came along with it, dont update anything it`s somewhat a dedicated PC for your CNC machine.

Mach3 can run up to win 7 32bit on a parallel port only, if it's usb or ethernet it's up to win10 64 bit unless the board is made to run on a 32 bit computer. some of those 3020 and up the boards can only run on Mach3.

Looks like they are not yet available unless you buy the whole engraver. I would be interested to know if they work with Linux CNC. If you try it, please post back.

Mach 3 is not free but its not that dear either. About $150 ?

You don't need Windows XP. I have it running on Win 7 fine, using a USB Motion Board.
Its running on my Win 10 machine as well, but I am not using that to drive a machine.
