I got a chinese CNC from Amazon that came with a "Woodpecker 2.7 GRBL"
The package came with grblControl 0.8 for Windows which seems to mostly work. I wired up limit switches as shown on this forum but grblControl 0.8 doesn't stop. I tried Candle 1.1.7 but I get get the jog conrols to work at all and doesn't stop at the limit switches either. I have noticed that most Woodpecker boards are labeled "Woodpecker CNC GRBL".
Does anyone know about the Woodpecker 2.7?
Is there a better version of grblControl / Candle?
How can I get my limit switches to work?
Re: Chinese CNC 160x100 mm with Woodpecker Controller
Download Candle 1.0.11, that is the version for Grbl 0.9 all the other versions are for Grbl 1.1 which has issues so I dont recommend flashing your controller with that version.
When you first run Candle even the version you have the first line displayed in the console window should tell you exactly which version of Grbl your board is running but I am pretty sure its going to be 0.9j or something under version 1.X.
Re: Chinese CNC 160x100 mm with Woodpecker Controller
Yeah thats why I asked about the version and next I was going to give you the command to see what S21 was. you can also enable homing to and the limit switches will work both as endstops and homing stops.
